Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Divigi collects when you use divigi.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. It covers this website. It does not cover the separate agreement we sign with you if you become a client — that contract governs the data we handle on your behalf.

We have written this in plain language on purpose. If anything here is unclear, email hello@divigi.com and we will explain it.

Information you give us

The only place this website asks you for personal information is its enquiry forms — the contact form, the quote request, and the proposal request. When you submit one, we receive:

• your name
• your email address
• your phone number
• your website address
• whatever you write in the message field
• the page you were on when you submitted the form, so we know what you were reading about

You choose what to put in the message field. Please do not send us sensitive information — financial details, identification documents, health information — through a web form. If we need something like that, we will arrange a secure way to send it.

Form submissions reach us by email and are stored on our website host’s servers.

Information collected automatically

Like almost every website, ours records some technical information as you browse:

• Server logs. Our host records the IP address, browser type, and pages requested for each visit. These logs exist so the site can be kept secure and working.
• Analytics. We use Google Analytics to understand which pages people find useful and how they arrive. This tells us things like which city pages get read and which search terms bring people in. It is reported to us as patterns and totals, not as named individuals.
• Spam protection. Our forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which looks at how a visitor interacts with the page to tell people apart from bots.

Cookies and similar technologies

A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser. This site uses very few:

You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work — you will simply be treated as a new visitor each time, and your light or dark preference will not be remembered.

Other services this site loads

Some parts of the site are delivered from other companies’ servers. When your browser fetches a file from them, they receive your IP address as a normal part of that request:

• Google Fonts — the typefaces used across the site.
• Cloudflare CDN and jQuery CDN — standard code libraries the site is built on.
• Google Analytics and Google reCAPTCHA — described above. Google’s handling of that data is covered by Google’s Privacy Policy.

How we use your information

We use what we collect to:

• reply to your enquiry and prepare a proposal or quote
• talk to you about the work you have asked about, and follow up on it
• keep the website secure, working, and free of spam submissions
• understand how the site is used so we can improve it
• meet our legal and accounting obligations

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing. We will not add you to a marketing list because you sent an enquiry.

Who we share it with

We share personal information only with the companies that make the site and our business run — our website host, our email provider, and the analytics and spam-protection services named above. They may only use it to provide that service to us.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or where it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.

Where your information is handled

Divigi works with clients in several countries, and the services we rely on operate internationally. Your information may therefore be stored or processed in a country other than your own, including outside the country where you live. Wherever it is handled, it stays subject to this policy.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry correspondence for as long as we may reasonably need it to answer follow-up questions and to keep proper business records, and no longer than necessary. Analytics data expires on the schedule set in Google Analytics. Server logs are rotated by our host on its own cycle.

You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your rights and choices

Whatever country you are in, you can ask us to:

• tell you what personal information we hold about you
• give you a copy of it
• correct it if it is wrong
• delete it
• stop using it for a particular purpose

Email hello@divigi.com and we will action it. We do not charge for this, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

If you are in the United States, several states give residents specific rights over their personal information, including the right to know what is collected, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information, and the rights listed above are available to you regardless of which state you live in.

To opt out of Google Analytics across every website, Google publishes a browser add-on for that purpose.

Children

This website is intended for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Security

The site is served over an encrypted connection, and access to enquiry data is limited to the people at Divigi who need it. No website can promise perfect security, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you send us.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information, we will update this page and change the date shown at the top. Significant changes will be made obvious rather than slipped in quietly.
